Bolderwood Deer Watch Trail
Bolderwood has a platform overlooking a meadow where fallow deer gather for daily feedings by the forest keeper between noon – 3pm.
Bolderwood Deer Watch Trail
Experience one of the most iconic sights of the New Forest at the Bolderwood Deer Watch Trail. This popular destination is famous for its specially created deer viewing platform, which provides a panoramic view across a large meadow. It is one of the best places in the UK to see fallow deer in their natural habitat without disturbing them.
The deer at Bolderwood are accustomed to human presence, especially as they are often fed by the local New Forest keepers between April and September (usually between noon and 3 pm). This makes it a fantastic spot for wildlife photography and a must-visit for families. Beyond the viewing platform, Bolderwood offers three waymarked circular walks of varying lengths through ancient ornamental woods, featuring some of the tallest and oldest trees in the forest. With a large dedicated picnic area and plenty of space for children to explore the woodland safely, it is the perfect location for a relaxing afternoon in nature, just a short drive from our Unrivalled Holiday Homes.
